The Act of Prayer

Matthew 21:22 All things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

Praise: Psalm 150:1, 6: Praise the Lord, Praise God in His sanctuary, Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Confession: 1 John 1:9

Petition: 1 Samuel 1:17

Thanksgiving: Phillipians 4:6 - Be anxious for nothing

Commitment: Proverbs 16:3

Proverbs 15:8, 29 - The prayer of the upright is a delight and will be heard by God

Acts 6:4 - But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word

James 5:16 - The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Why pray? 1 Peter 4:7 - The end of all things is at hand, therefore be of sound judgement and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.
